History of the Firm

On February 1, 1993, two partners from Foley & Lardner’s Jacksonville office, Charles Cook Howell, III and Michael S. O’Neal, moved upstairs in the Greenleaf Building to form the law firm of Howell & O’Neal.  Since that time, the firm has specialized in representing clients in civil litigation matters, predominantly in personal injury, insurance coverage, products liability, professional liability and medical malpractice claims. 

The firm is currently located in the Modis Building at One Independent Drive, Suite 2902 in Jacksonville.  The firm currently has four attorneys, including Michael S. O’Neal, John Moffitt Howell, Kevin E. Jakab and C. Matthew Brannen.
