MICHAEL S. O’NEAL, Partner

MICHAEL S. O’NEAL was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1948. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Economics, summa cum laude, from the University of North Florida. He served in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1974 and graduated with honors from the University of  Florida College of Law in 1979.  He has practiced law in Jacksonville since that time. He is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) (Jacksonville Chapter Treasurer, 2007), the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Northeast Florida Medical Malpractice Claims Counsel (President, 1996), and the Jacksonville Association of Defense Counsel (President, 1999).  He is AV peer review rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is a Certified Civil Court Mediator. His primary areas of practice include litigation, specializing in personal injury, insurance coverage, products liability, professional liability, medical malpractice defense, and civil mediation.
